Using Chats in Lineup
Direct Messages
Direct messages let you have private conversations with other Lineup users. You can send messages to anyone on the platform.
Messages are private between you and the recipient. You'll see when they've read your message and when they're typing a response.

Announcement Groups
Announcement groups are broadcast-style chats where only admins can send messages. They're great for keeping people updated about events and updates.
Finding & Joining Groups
You'll see public announcement groups in your "Recommended" section. To join:- Tap the group you're interested in- Hit the "Join" button- Start receiving updates

Creating an Announcement Group
To create your own announcement group:1. Go to Messages2. Tap New Chat3. Select "Create Announcement Group"4. Add a title5. Choose settings (public/private)6. Link to an event (optional)
Managing Notifications (Coming Soon)
Control what updates you receive:- Go to group settings- Choose notification preferences- Select "All messages" or "Important only"- Mute temporarily if needed

Message Tips
Keep these in mind for better communication:- Messages can't be edited after sending- You can delete messages you've sent- Blocked users can't message you- Report inappropriate messages through the menu
Troubleshooting
Common issues and fixes:- Messages not sending? Check your internet connection- Can't find someone? Make sure they're on Lineup- Missing notifications? Check your notification settings- Group not showing? You might need to rejoin
